The vanilla chapter is over. OGWOW is being rebuilt as a zombie apocalypse survival server in the world of WoW - and the first systems already run on our test server. Free to play, no pay-to-win, no donations for power, ever.

Your first login begins in a quarantine camp. Talk to the officer, pick your side, and you are sent to the starting zone of that faction:
- 🏠 The Survivors - rebuild civilization from the ashes: clans, houses, farms and walls.
- 🐺 The Loners - immune outcasts, free to do anything: hunt, trade on the black market, live by your own rules.
- 🎖️ The Remnant - the last army of the old world: ranks, missions, and the fight to restore the state.
Two bars you have to keep up - you must eat and you must drink. They drain over time, and much faster when you run, swim or fight:
- ⚠️ When a bar runs low, you get a warning.
- ☠️ At zero it stops being a warning - hunger and thirst hit you with a heavy debuff, and if you keep ignoring them, they will kill you.
Five kinds of walkers - from the slow Shambler to the Screamer that calls the horde down on you and the heavy-hitting Butcher. They hold the roads, the villages and the ruins, and food, water and materials drop off the dead - the only way to cross the map dry.
Gorrak the Blightbrute, Sister Vexlia, Gristle, Warcaller Dragh and The Keening Widow - mini-bosses with real gear for every class. Outside the capitals about 1 in 33 of the dead is one of them; inside them, 1 in 10 - a job for a full group. They come back every 4 hours.
Every bite infects you - and so does every scrap of food and drink taken off a corpse. Quartermaster rations are clean, and so is mage food. It builds in five stages, every 20%: wounds close slower, you take more damage, and in the last stage it eats you alive.
Vendors no longer buy weapons and armour - junk and materials still sell. Gear comes from the dead and from crafting.
